Christmas customer journey maps

You can see just how different Christmas is for the little ones and the grown-ups when you apply a popular marketing method to different people: We make a Christmas customer journey map for Emma (7) and her mother Julia (38).

Customer Journey for Christmas: Emma, 7 years old

Customer Journey for Christmas: Julia, Emma's mother, 38 years old

It's unbelievable that they both experience the same Christmas!

While for Emma, Advent is a time of anticipation and excitement, anxious expectation peppered with confidence, delicious cookies as well as beautiful things and celebrations, for Julia it is above all stressful: A time full of obligations and expectations, not least of which she places on herself. What's more, Julia can only show her stress to Emma to a limited extent, as the presents are delivered by Santa Claus or the Christ Child and as the presents are made free of charge by the elves in the Christmas factory, money doesn't play a role either, right? So mom can be really stressed from work or all the cookie baking...
On Christmas Day itself, Emma can understand her mother's fuss, because no Christmas elves are cooking the food. So it's a good thing that after the presents have been given, they both feel the same sense of joy and relaxation and can spend some quality time together.
Same celebration, two very different customer journeys. Do you know that? Then you also know that in the end, all that really matters is: bright eyes, peace and comfort for everyone on Christmas Day.
With this in mind: Merry Christmas!
